Congress discusses current situation in State, blames PDP BJP for losses, muddle in State | KNO

Srinagar July 19 (KNO) : The J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) held a meeting of senior Party Functionaries and workers in Srinagar today to review the prevailing situation post fall of PDP BJP Govt in the State, urging upon the Government to reach out to people to address people’s problem, which were at peak due to failure of previous regime. The meeting also hit out at both PDP BJP for failing people on every count and also blamed Centre Govt for the muddle in State.

The meeting was presided over by G.A. Mir and attended by Former Minister Taj Mohi U din, Vice President Mohd Anwar Bhat, MLA Mohd Amin Bhat, MLA Gulzar Ahmad Spokesperson Farooq Andrabi, Gen Secretary Surinder Singh Channi and many other Senior Leaders.

Commenting on the prevailing situation post breaking up of PDP BJP alliance, G.A. Mir said that the unholy alliance was destined to break anytime, for the fact, the due had compromised on the urges and aspiration of the people for the sake of power. G.A. Mir blamed both (PDP BJP) for the political uncertainty in the State, saying that the misrule and mismanagement on their part will continue to haunt the state and people as well while holding them responsible for the chaotic situation in the State.

He said people in the entire state have suffered immensely on every count due to wrong and anti-people policies adopted by the Govt, after creating muddle in the State, the BJP pull out of the Govt to hoodwink the people again for petty political gains, but at the sametime, Mir felt confident that the Saffron Party will not find any takers in the State especially in Jammu region after it’s decision of toppling the Govt inorder to hide it’s failures, for the fact, people have realized that it (BJP) can go to any extent to serve it’s dirty political ends. He said Congress Party is an instrument of service to the people, laying emphasis on party cadres to remain steadfast to serve the people, as that, it is the Congress Party alone which is capable enough to address grievances of the people.

Later, hundreds of Anganwari Workers met G.A. Mir at party headquarter and sought enhancement of their monthly wages, appealing him (Mir) to intervene into the matter and urge upon Governor N. N. Vora to take cognizance of the matter. While assuring Anganwari workers and helpers of Congress Party’s full support to their demands, G.A. Mir emphasized the Governor to address their grievances, at right earnest. Those who addressed the meeting included G. M. Mir, Haji Farooq Mir, Abdul Gani Khan, Zahid Hussain Jan, Abdul Qayoom Shah, Irfan Naqib, Nissar Ahmad Mundoo, Fayaz Ahmad Dar, Mushtaq Ahmad Khanday, Maroof Ahmad Wani, Sheikh Aijaz and others.
